At the Italian Cultural Institute, a superb retrospective of Letizia Battaglia: chronicle, life, love. The chronicle is the life of the little people of Palermo, between love and death, Eros and Thanatos. Life: children, lovers, old people, Communists. Death is the Maffia, against a backdrop of misery. These are powerful images, in black and white, with high contrasts, in a magnificent setting. A catalog accompanies the exhibition.
