Spring is back and like every year it is the openning of the photography festival in Le Mans For its 34th edition, the Festival de l’image association invites spectators to visit the Photographiques from March 10 through April 1, 2012.
There is no special theme for this new edition, cities and landscapes, childhood, stories and existence will be among the subjects studied through various angles,.The festival presents artists who give a critical view of the world. The pictures of the photographers play with your senses, blur your vision, provoke your feelings and your memories, pushing you into a world of timeless fiction.
The exhibitions will be on display at the Centre des expositions Paul Courboulay, the Palais des congrès et de la culture, at the Médiathèque Louis Aragon, in the l’Hôtel de ville du Mans and in the Théodore Monod park.

• Exhibition “Hors cadre #1” from March 10 – 24 at the MJC Ronceray
This year, les Photographiques and the MJC Ronceray invite young photographers not included in the official festival program. The viewpoints of these four artists combine a dreamlike vision, a photographic fiction, with graphic black and white and color landscapes……(Charlotte Auricombe, Mathias Verdier, Essylt Jarrot et Pierre Clanet)
• Conference with Estelle Lagarde on March 31, salle des concerts.
Estelle Lagarde will participate during the psychoanalysis and health day on the theme “Faced with terminal illness, what good are words?”
