This week, exploring the archives of the Rencontres d’Arles, a look back to 1984 with a reportage on an exhibition that year about NASA space photographs . Here are five interviews: with artistic director Lucien Clergue, who presented the program and gave the spirit of the Rencontres; with Christian Caujolle, then a journalist at Libération, on a selection of photographs for the newspaper; with Joyce Tenneson, an American portrait photographer; with Robert Doisneau about the evolution of photography; and with Brewster Show, an astronaut, who says, “these photographs show what it feels like to be up there.”
