Applications for the FotoEvidence Photo Book Award 2018 with Word Press Photo are still open this Friday, December 15th. This is the last day to apply and hope to be exhibited with two other finalists during the 2018 Word Press Photo Exhibition in Amsterdam. The winner will also be shown at the Bronx Documentary Center in New York June and will be leading a workshop with students in the same town. Finally, the laureate will see his project published in FotoEvidence’s collection.
The FotoEvidence Book Award was conceived in 2011 with to promote photographers fighting violation of human rights and degradation of human dignity. This year, the FotoEvidence Book Award was withdrawn from Italian photographer Giovanni Troilo, after he mistakenly gave bad informations on some of his photographs. In 2016, the photographer Daniela Zalcman and her series on the violent assimilation of Indian minorities in Canada won the price (series Signs of your identity, 2016).
