The Coupe Icare is held in the Alpes, between Grenoble and Chambery, in the stunning surrounds, between sky and land, of Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet and Lumbin. Saint-Hilaire, with more than 1,500 inhabitants, is perched at 1000 metres altitude on the prominent natural limestone plateau of the Chartreuse mountain range : ‘le Plateau des Petites Roches’. Lumbin, with more than 2,000 inhabitants, is situated 700 metres below Saint Hilaire.
