Japanese photographic festival Kyotophotography begins tomorrow. The festival will be held until 14 May and will focus on the theme of Love. Kyotophotography is one of Japan’s most popular photographic events, with over 250,000 visitors coming to see exhibitions or assist to events since 2013.
24 exhibitions will be held all-over the city. Collections from the French National Museum of Asian Art – The Guimet Museum – will present its photographic works. Agnès B, the famous French collector, will also display photographs of intimacy and love. Chichako Yamashiro, Giada Ripa, Susan Barnett, Akihito Yoshida and Isabel Munoz will be among the artists presented.
Many workshops, masterclasses, conferences, discussions and evenings are to be expected.
