The Beirut Photo Marathon attempts to document the Lebanese capital by comparing the visions of different photographers. Today we’re unveiling the work of the two winners of the 2014 edition. For half a day last September, the streets of Beirut were overrun by a peculiar horde. Armed with cameras, ninety-five photographers participated in the competition, now in its second year. The organizers of the event decided to announce the names of the two winners through L’Oeil de la Photographie. Krix and Rabih Ibrahim’s series of 12 photos can be seen here. They were selected for their technique, their creativity and the way their work captures what Beirut is like today.
