Always looking for new talents to exhibit, in the middle of a set of proposed photographs, two or three images caught my attention. A few researches later, I found the author’s site for these interesting works. The site confirmed my interest in this work which stood out among the others.
This young designer from Latin America already uses knowledge of a good technical level that she combines with a capacity for quality work which are at the service of her personal creativity.
For a first presentation, I opted without hesitation for an old series: “Acciones para recordar” [actions for remembrance]. A real approach, a real reflection and a poetic subtlety that breaks the codes without ever straying from the right questions.
The photographic work, often carried out with “the means at hand” and spontaneity remains at the right height of the ambitions of this study already of a great strength. A creative sincerity served by a technical realization quality also benefits the works of her other photographic series.
This is also another interesting series that Karina Juárez presents, during the month of December 2021, in the group exhibition organized in Marseille by the Center de la Photographie de Marseille.
