Juliette Denis hails from Basse Normandie, near Briouze. The local soccer club, Olympique Club Briouzain, has 250 members. The club’s origins date back to 1919, but it was only in 2006 that a women’s section was created.
Juliette Denis, a keen outdoor sportswoman, decided to follow the senior women’s team for a season. She wanted to take a closer look at the players, the training, the surpassing of oneself, the solidarity, the convivial spaces, the places of celebration and also the supporters.
This soccer club is much more than a setting for a team sport, it’s also a powerful vector of social cohesion and a local pride that brings life to the village and its surroundings.
