Jls Birdy is born in Bordeaux in 1979.
After completing his studies in Fine Art at the University of Bordeaux, he continued his education in graphic design.
The themes of sex, humor and the bizarre permeate his work in which nothing is left to chance.
The girl next door, more than one hundred young girls and boys, transexuels and transgenders are captured by his lens.
Most of his subjects are unknown. Others are more well-known like the actress Florence Thomassin, the actor Dimitri Storoge, the director Elie Chouraqui or the icon of New York night life Amanda Lepore.
In 2010 and 2011, his photography appeared in the alternative Japanese art and culture magazine Duff, as well as on the American web magazine Dirty Magazine, which is devoted to fashion, art and culture.
In 2012, thirty of his photos were exhibited at the Corrado Borton Gallery in Paris in a show entitled “Naked Girls on My Mind.”
Jls Birdy lives and works in Paris.
