The exhibition Vision Fresson at the French Institute of Jerusalem – Romain Gary brings together two photographers, Bernard Plossu and Didier Benloulou, and their work made using the Fresson carbon printing process. This alternative and artisanal method dating from the late-19th century has been passed down through the same family for generations. Starting in the late 1960s, Bernard Plossu began giving his photographs to the Fresson studio, while Didier Benloulou started in the late 1970s. Both photographers consider their work inextricably linked to this incomparable technique. They also share a love for travel, cities, ways of seeing daily life, the street, outdoors, color, chance and the potential of photography. Some thirty prints are on display.
