The photographer offers us an immersive journey through l’Oise, the men and women, farmers, breeders, who daily shape its landscapes. He honors their often overlooked work, in the privacy of their farms and on the land they cultivate.
Astonishing images of aesthetics, composition, sometimes graphic, where the moment captured turns out to be the decisive moment.
And this in all the diversity of this rich department, through the four seasons.

Book
For decades, Jean-Pierre Gilson has tirelessly traveled France, to reveal the elusive beauty of the landscapes. The importance of agriculture in the construction of these landscapes did not escape him and gave birth to the project of a book devoted to L’Oise, a resolutely agricultural land.
Fifteen months crisscrossing the department, more than 18,000 kilometers and nearly 50,000 pictures were necessary for the realization of this work. He invites us to discover, over the seasons, the beauty and diversity of the agricultural landscapes, a territory shaped by passionate men and women, who work everyday in fields and farms.
An unsuspected poetry emerges from these shots which reveal the earth and its many faces. With morning atmospheres, light and composition architecture that make up the DNA of his work, Jean-Pierre Gilson gives us an evidence beyond expectation.
