My name is Jean-Marc Caracci. I was born in 1958. I am a french photographer based in Montpellier. I am French, from Sicilian roots, born in Tunisia. The series Homo Urbanus Europeanus is the fruit of 3 years travelling in the whole Europe. 31 European capitals have been visited in the frame of this project… so I can say it is about the “Man in the City in Europe”, let’s say about the European “Urban Being”. Each picture of the project, by the accuracy of its framing and its crisp style, is like a hymn to the magnificent citizen. Indeed, the characters on my photos don’t look insane, but they rather have the stature of conquerors.
