Jean-François Dubos was appointed two days ago, on Monday, December 4th, the President of the European House of Photography (MEP), located in Paris. He succeeds to Henry Chapier, who was in charge since the creation of the MEP in 1996.
After completing his studies in literature, law and political science, he held several positions in the public sector (French State Council, French Ministry of Defense) and in the private sector (Vivendi, Foundation for Continental Law). ). In 1978, he founded the association Paris Audiovisuel with the current director of the MEP, Jean-Luc Monterosso.
Jean-François Dubos has notably been president of the Baroque Music Center of Versailles, vice-president of the Rencontres de la Photographie of Arles or administrator and treasurer of the Théâtre de Châtelet. He is Knight of the Legion of Honor, Knight of the National Order of Merit and Officer of Arts and Letters.
