In 2010, Jacques Borgetto presented L’autre versant du monde, a selection from his travels to Argentina and Chile, in the footsteps of his family who emigrated. Since then he’s only kept on looking elsewhere, in Tibet and Mali, and the equestrian center in Maisons-Lafitte, where he was in residence last May.
In the end, elsewhere is not a geographical location. It is to be found in the photographer’s vision…
Erin Lawor
Jacques Borgetto was born in Paris. At an early age he developed a passion for photography and began traveling with a Rolleiflex. Selected for the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles, he took part in an exhibition for young photographers with Bernard Plossu and Bernard Descamps. He travels throughout Europe and South American, particularly in Argentina and Chile.
