The Institut pour la photographie announces a grant for the creation of a photobook for children. Application deadline: 31 January 2024.
The Institut pour la photographie launches the first Youth Photo Book Support Fund Grant.
In line with its missions to support research and creation, promote photographic publishing and provide training in critical reading of images, the Institut pour la photographie launches the first Youth Photo Book Support Fund with the generous patronage of publisher Frédérique Destribats.
The aim of the biannual Youth Photobook Support Fund (or Fonds de soutien au livre photo jeunesse in French) is to promote the creation of photographic books for young people, with an endowment of €10,000 to support the design and production of an original French-language book aimed at children and/or adolescents (aged 6-18).
With this in mind, the Institut pour la photographie seeks applications from authors, artists, photographers and graphic designers of all nationalities and all ages.
The winner will receive support and guidance from the Institut pour la photographie team and will receive €10,000 to help bring their publishing project to fruition at the end of the two-year support period.
The deadline for applications for the first edition is 31 January 2024, and the winner will be chosen in April 2024, with a view to publication by the end of October 2025 at the latest.
