.tiff 2024 – Emerging Belgian Photography De Brakke Grond (images 1-10)
Until 6 October, .tiff 2024 is on show at the Brakke Grond. This photography exhibition brings together work by a new selection of promising artists, brought together by FOMU – the photography museum Antwerp.
Selection .tiff 2024: Romain Cavallin, Elise Dervichian & Lina Wielant, Romane Iskaria, Ksenia Kuleshova, Catherine Lemblé, Nathan Mbouebe, Angyvir Padilla, Marcel Top, Marens van Leunen and Laure Winants.
With .tiff, FOMU supports ten artists and photographers with a Belgian connection every year. .tiff casts a fresh look at the possibilities of photography and is a sample of the diversity and dynamics of the photographic landscape in Belgium. It is a flexible track that responds to the needs of emerging artists. For them, in addition to the portfolio magazine and expo, the programme includes networking moments with international professionals and coaching sessions.
For the selection, FOMU works with an external jury. This year, it consists of Tom Callemin (artist and member of .tiff edition 2014), Damarice Amao (curator Centre Pompidou Paris) and Pieter Vermeulen (art critic and curator), assisted by the FOMU team.
.tiff is part of FUTURES, a collaboration between FOMU and a growing number of European partners (21). Futures organises several events aimed at young talent every year. Discover the full calendar of meet-ups and events in Zagreb and Arles among others, on their website.
.tiff magazine the publication accompanying the exhibition is on sale at the modal price of €7.

Dialogue Vintage Photography Fair 21st September (images 11-21)
Amsterdam will be the venue for yet another initiative on Saturday 21 September: the sixth Vintage Photography Art Fair opens its doors. About 40+ dealers and galleries in vintage photography and photographica from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England, Germany and Austria will offer the best of their stock.
The fair will be flanked by an interesting programme of lectures and presentation.
One of the participants present is Sandvoort Gallery (www.sandvoort.gallery). This gallery was created in 2016 by the man who co-founded in 1985 the legendary photo agency Hollandse Hoogte.
His gallery proposes unique prints, particularly by 20th-century Dutch photographers, such as Eva Besnyö, Steef Zoetmulder, Ad Windig, Eddy Posthuma de Boer, Henk Nieuwenhuijs and Sem Presser.
Dialogue is open from 10:00am till 4pm
