Miami fairs will move the city this week, especially the most famous of them, the relocated Art Basel. Photography occupies a place of rank among many stands of gallerists. Here is a short selection of artists and works to see in various fairs.
Art Basel 2017
The Edwynn Houk Gallery in Zurich and New York is betting on photography. The gallery presents works by classical photographers such as Diane Arbus, Brassaï, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Man Ray. On the contemporary side, great masters are in vogue, with Stephen Shore, Danny Lyon, Imogen Cunningham.
The gallery occupies booth B8, Art Basel, Miami Beach Convention Center. The opening takes place tonight (on invitation).
Untitled Art Fair 2017
The New York gallery Bitforms presents the works of Caniel Canogar, a visual artist who frequently explores the photographic medium. His luminous work is a marvel, sensitive as well as joyful.

Also to be noted this year for his series Ekaterina, Romain Mader will be presented for the ten years of the parisian galleryDIX9, alongside Nemanja Nikolic and Slobodan Stosic.

Pulse Miami
Danziger Gallery (New York) will present new works by Flemish photographer Hendrik Kerstens. His portraits are inspired by Flemish Renaissance painting and offer a conversation between the photographic medium and the pictorial medium. Hendrik Kerstens will be shown alongside works by Susan Derges, Tracey Emin, Michael De Feo, Farrah Karapetian, Karen Knorr, Jim Krantz, Liz Nielsen, Ed Templeton and Andy Warhol.
And not to forget, at last, the presence of Cristobal photographer at White Concepts Gallery.
