Belgian photographer Harry Gruyaert, member of Magnum Photos agency since 1981, will be at the Parisian bookstore Artazar for a book signing session. His latests book East / West was edited by Textuel and reveals under the form of archives his work on color and light in three cities symbolizing the Western and Eastern opposition during the Cold War: Las Vegas and Los Angeles in 1982 on one side, on the other Moscow where Harry Gruyaert stayed in 1989, a few months before the fall of the Soviet regime. Besides the historical interest and the desire to simply document these periods, its cities and their inhabitants, reader will observe his experiments on color for almost ten years.
