Bastien Pons’ project “Nuqués” confronts our notions of appearances.
The nape of the neck is his subject, a behind the scenes look
reminiscent of book bindings on a shelf, or suspects lined up for
identification. In unfamiliar ground, our eyes focus on the
text-tatoos, looking for some indication of the subject’s profession.
