Galerie L’Oeil Bleu : Christine Spengler : Shadow & Light, hope in the midst of chaos

Preview

Christine Spengler exhibits Ombre & Lumière, l’espoir au milieu du chaos, at the Galerie L’Oeil Bleu.

Christine Spengler French photographer and writer raised in Spain defines herself: “I am both shadow and light like the bullrings of my childhood in Madrid.”

From March 19th to 24th at the Galerie L’Oeil Bleu, she is exhibiting her most emblematic war photos, from her first famous photo “Chad” in 1970, to “The White Doves of Calais” in 2016.

She will also show color photomontages inspired by her mother, the surrealist artist Huguette Spengler (1), and by her childhood near the Prado Museum.

The exhibition will also reveal sublime portraits of great icons: Frida Kahlo, Greta Garbo, Marguerite Duras and her last tribute to Maria Callas, as well as a unique photomontage dedicated to Brigitte Bardot.
