This exhibition gathers in a parallel the series Secrètes by Françoise Huguier and her own collection of prints by the great African photographers Seydou Keïta and Malick Sidibé. This long-standing friendship is highlighted here for the first time. Françoise Huguier forged sincere relationships with her models, women she met in Burkina Faso and Mali, as well as with local photographers. Through her portraits of women in their intimacy, she unveils them to the public, just as she helped emerge from the shadows immense talents such as Seydou Keïta and Malick Sidibé, by creating the Bamako Photography Biennale in 1994, which brought these two great artists to be recognized by the world of photography.
