For François Delebecque, art as is a practice that structures his intimate being. He produces his images in series, as absolute necessities, with elegance and determination heightened by something near romanticism and the contrast of striking realism. Here, the senses soar against the coarseness of reality.
Milan and Florence will host a selection of images taken from five series: we will be able to see the full force of the Gorillas who sat for him after a tense casting session, the militant Torera placing men before a pitiful image of themselves as shallow posers, the philosophical Teddy Bears contemplating the human world, the Nocturnal landscapes where plants sway in the wind – sometimes a sea breeze – contrasting with the fears of the darkened woods, and a “Voyage in Italy” where baroque bodies feature alongside some splendid gardens.
Nextam Partners is a private financial group that has been exhibiting and collecting photography for several years.
