Le Bonheur (1991-1992) is a series of 38 pictures described by Bernard Marcellis as “The daily lives of couples for the most part enacted – literally – outdoors. Far from typical representations, here is a world visualized against an exterior where the natural backdrop (outside) confronts the artificial (the subjects’ formal poses).” Florence Chevallier was born in Casablanca (Morocco) in 1955. She lives and works in Paris where she concentrates essentially on the series.
