For its sixth edition, the programming of Fictions Documentaires is mainly female, it covers many ideological fields of events that cross our societies.
This diversity of proposals and implementations once again reveals how much documentary fiction sees artists of different origins and different generations strive to translate contemporary concerns inscribed in communities or shared in a more universal way.
Documentary fiction is about seizing a social fact and dealing with it through contemporary art. It’s using metaphor, staging, symbol, collage… to appropriate a current issue.
With works by Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Stéphanie Nelson, Ymane Fakhir, Marianne and Katarzyna Wasowska, Tiphaine Populu de la Forge, Annika Haas and Line Sagnes.
Located in Carcassonne, GRAPh has been developing artistic, cultural, educational and social actions since 1987 using the photographic medium. This work, carried out on a daily basis, makes it possible to offer everyone access to culture and the artistic practice of images in all its forms.
