Chaired by Tim Walker, the 17th jury of the Hyéres fashion festival awarded its Grand Prix of photography to the Irish photographer Daragh Soden. Living in Dublin, graduated from Newport University in documentary photography, Daragh Soden became known for his ‘Young Dubliners‘ series, depicting austere and greyish portraits of Irish dubliners. In fashion photography, Soden has worked for the brand Hugo Boss. He is rewarded for “his bravery, his honesty, and the promise of surprises and thoughts provoking visual imaginary” (Tim Walker).
The American Vintage photography was given to Luis Alberto Rodriguez while the Still Life Prize was given to Roos Quakernaat. Regarding fashion, Vanessa Schindler won the grand prize of the jury Première Vision.
