Since the beginning of the 19th century, the rise of speed and the democratization of our motorized movements have given rise to a real “turning point in mobility”, transforming our societies, territories and ways of life. Ambitious reality, carrier of contradictions, mobility is at the crossroads of the major social, political and ecological issues of our time.
The exhibition Mobile/Immobile proposes to explore the manifestations of this mobility and to question their future by associating the eyes of photographers like Laura Henno, Marion Poussier, Olivier Culmann, Géraldine Lay, Ishan Tankha, Jurgen Nefzger, and the collector Thomas Sauvin, to those of researchers in the social sciences.
Based on seven years of art-science research conducted by the Forum Vies Mobiles, the exhibition explores in a historical, sensitive and scientific way the present, the past and the future of our mobility.
