Women Photograph announces the launch of its 2019 Project Grants. With support from Nikon and Getty Images, $35,000 in funding will be available to support work from women and non-binary photographers.
For the Women Photograph + Nikon Grants, 5 grants of $5,000 each will be awarded to projects — either new or in-progress — from visual journalists working in a documentary capacity. One of the grants will be earmarked for a non-binary or transgender photographer.
For the Women Photograph + Getty Images Grant, a $10,000 grant will support a project from a professional photojournalist who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to their story. Applications will open on April 1, with a final deadline of May 15.
