From Summer 2022, Taunus Foto Galerie is showing MONOCHROME PERSPECTIVES, a series of black and white photographers that will continue for a few months, probably until April 2023.
The exhibitions starts with the well-known landscape photographers Roman Loranc and Oliver Miller. Both are connected by decades of intuitive enthusiasm for monochrome photography, with which they capture their visual landscape experiences through compositions of unique moments of light and shadow; these are then immortalized on baryta paper or silver gelatin prints.
Roman Loranc and Oliver Miller form the prelude to the new series MONOCHROME PERSPECTIVES, in which changing international photographers display their work. MONOCHROME PERSPECTIVES brings together a group of fascinating black-and-white photographers, who concentrate on the essentials of their subject and for whom classic black-and-white photography is a special means of expression with its subtle effects.
Roman Loranc features some of his most celebrated works from three decades of California landscape photography. From his wistful reed images in Central Valley to his impressive landscape portraits of Mt. Shasta, the spectacular volcanic mountain in Northern California.
Oliver Miller has previously displayed the monochrome North Sea series CIRCULAR DYNAMICS at Taunus Foto Galerie, and is currently showing his fascinating cloud studies from the North Sea coast; snapshots of a constantly changing and short-lived choreography of wind, light and shadow during winter sunsets on the beaches of Amrum and St. Peter-Ording.
In September, Taunus Foto Galerie has added Michelle Magdalena Maddox and Daniel Dencescu. Michelle is showing her series Milk, Resurgence and Divine Feminine, celebrating the beauty of the feminine form, while Daniel has recently won Minimalist Photographer of the Year for his very special series Starling Murmurations, which is on show.
Roman and Michelle capture their images on film, developed and printed in their own darkrooms. Oliver and Daniel are digital photographers. The Gallery is interested in but indifferent to the technology used by artists; it is the finished image that is most important and the story it tells.
Other photographers will complete the MONOCHROME PERSPECTIVES series soon, including Rachael Talibart, Konrad Bartelski, Anthony Lamb, Paul Sanders. Look forward to the coming months with a new series of very special black and white photographs.
The exclusive and strictly limited works of these artists can be purchased in different sizes at Taunus Foto Galerie.
