Atiq Rahimi invites Sarah Moon & Kamy Pakdel on Wednesday, April 17 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
On the occasion of the publication of his book “The Water Carriers” published by POL, the winner of the 2008 Goncourt Award Atiq Rahimi invites photographer Sarah Moon and director Kamy Pakdel for an exceptional talk.
Writer and filmmaker, also a photographer, Atiq Rahimi has published “Le Retour imaginaire”, a memorial narrative between poetry and photographs, about his native country, Afghanistan and his brother killed on these lands.
Sarah Moon first turned to fashion photography for 15 years before focusing her work on a more artistic and personal dimension, including the use of the black and white Polaroid negative as a medium of expression.
Kamy Pakdel is Creative Director at Actes Sud Junior and director. He is at the origin of a documentary on Abbas, a Franco-Iranian photojournalist and member of the Magnum agency, who died in 2018.
RDV on Wednesday, April 17 for a rich and transversal evening, around an exchange on the photographic eyes of the protagonists and their relationship to the image, a signing session and the screening of an unpublished excerpt of the film by Kamy Pakdel.
