From Monday 11 to Saturday 16 March 2019, Christie’s France will exhibit about thirty photographs by Nikos Aliagas of which a selection of unique pieces (1 EA + 1) will be auctioned at a charity sale to benefit the Hellenic Community of Paris and its surroundings.
The famous Franco-Greek journalist who made his debut on RFI, Euronews then France 2 before joining TF1 and Europe 1, has a passion for photography since his early childhood. Alongside his audiovisual activities, Nikos Aliagas is devoted to photography, one of whose main themes is the test of time (title of his book published by Editions La Martinière). A photographer with a benevolent look, Nikos essentially captures faces, hands or landscapes marked by passing time. Nikos Aliagas’ choice of black and white gives him the opportunity to play with contrasts of light and shadow, allowing the viewer to penetrate a little deeper into the mystery that emanates from his subjects.
