As part of the “Photo Saint Germain” and “Un week-end à l’est” festivals, Galerie Folia presents Peter Puklus’ One and a half, from November 7 to December 15, 2018.
“One and a half meter” could also have been called “Intimacy”. This one-and-a-half-meter radius designates precisely this physical space around each human being where intimacy comes into play. The realized portraits represent close friends of the artist, those who precisely gravitate in this perimeter. Still lives, everyday objects, living rooms and bathrooms complete this immersion in the private life of the characters. No incentive to voyeurism but rather to a soft and tender contemplation of this comfort zone where we often refuse to surrender.
Opening on Tuesday November 6th from 6.30pm
Encounter with the artist Peter Puklus and the director of the Vevey Images festival, Stefano Stoll, on Saturday, November 24, from 3pm to 4pm.
Followed by a presentation of the Hungarian artist Eva Besnyo by French journalist and essayist Catherine Gonnard from 4pm to 5pm.
