Paris cosmopolitan city? It is obvious. No major metropolis has been formed without multiple immigrations. How to welcome these populations, who, at the risk of their lives, leave their country to settle in Europe? In 2016, the Paris City Hall and Emmaüs Solidarité built two accommodation facilities at the city gates, to respond to an emergency situation: the Bulle for single men, in La Chapelle and the Village for families, Ivry / Seine.
The series documents the ability of these migrants to appropriate these temporary places and rebuild their domestic identity.
