MEETING POINT is a series of meetings organized by The Eyes in collaboration with the MEP to share perspectives on photographic practices in their diversity. Offered four nightly Thursdays a year around the inter-season exhibitions of the MEP, Meeting Point is thought of as a living exchange listening to contemporary issues. Organized around a large theme, columns and pastilles, each meeting is an opportunity to develop a subject from an international and transdisciplinary point of view.

Independent photo publishing: an ever-challenging sector for emerging publishers and photographers?
Confidential market, the independent photo edition is based on a fluctuating economic model. Despite its fragility, new publishers are emerging and more and more emerging artists are putting the photo book at the heart of their artistic practice.
Invited speakers, editors and artists will share their experiences and thoughts to unlock the prospects of a sector that is both attractive and ambivalent.

Rebekka Deubner, artist and publisher – Le Rayon Vert
Sonia Berger, Independent Publisher – Dalpine (Skype)
