From October 22, 2022 to April 2, 2023, photographer Margot Wallard will lead a six-month master class during which participants will develop and design a photographic project.
Objective
This photo master class is spread over six months during which you will develop and design a photographic project under the direction of Margot Wallard, photographer represented by the Vu gallery assisted by Stephan Norsic, photographer and manager of Zoom’Up.
This photo master class is for people who want to learn and improve the construction of a photographic story, whether it is related to fiction, reality or both. Whether the participant already has a photographic project in progress that he wishes to start or finalize (model, exhibition set design) or whether he is in loss of inspiration, this workshop will provide him with avenues of reflection, working methods (editing, sequencing, image association) and will lead him to question his way of transcribing the world.
The main objective of this training is to allow the student to acquire the necessary autonomy to succeed in his professional career. It is a question of learning the working methods to develop one’s projects but also to position oneself and to present one’s work to the different actors of the world of contemporary photography, such as publishers, photo editors or journalists, gallery owners, collectors, directors of art centers…
Zoom’Up works on the basis of the participant’s experiences, references and sensibility in order to define a subject, find the angles of approach, the treatment and the technical choices. This practical experience will be a springboard for the participant to continue to develop his future projects.
