Launch of the 2019 Mois de la PHOTO-OFF festival
In April 2019, the Mois de la PHOTO-OFF comes out of the shadow of his big brother. By existing in the “off” year of the official festival, we will offer you a richer programme with unusual exhibitions and courses in the four corners of Greater Paris.
The 2019 edition of the Mois de la PHOTO-OFF takes off solo, coming out of the shadow of its big brother, the Month of the Photo of Greater Paris, which will not take place until 2020.
For the first time since its founding in 1994, the “off” will take off alone, occupying the space of the off-peak years between official Mois de la Photo.
By radiating during these biennial eclipses, we hope to open new horizons for Parisian gallery owners, whether already established or emerging. The goal, as for each edition of the festival, is to create a dynamic between photography enthusiasts around art galleries, but also more unusual places: workshops, bookstores, creative spaces, etc…
Another vision of photography
The Mois de la PHOTO-OFF is not only a Parisian affair: since 2016 the Mois de la PHOTO-OFF has settled in Berlin with the creation of its counterpart the Monat der Fotografie-Off in partnership with ParisBerlin> fotogroup.
The two festivals will exchange exhibitions, establishing strong links between two cities and two countries that are both precursors and innovators in photography.
We invite you to discover our exhibitions in April 2019 and to share with photographers, gallery owners and curators your vision of photography. And who knows, maybe we will meet again in 2020 too.
To be continued…
