Photography Exhibition In The Gallery: Sif Meincke – You Can Sail Without Wind

In The Gallery welcomes the next solo exhibition by photographer Sif Meincke, entitled “You can sail without wind”.

The exhibition will open on November 1, 2024, with a reception from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and will run until January 1, 2025.

You can sail without wind captures the calm and reflective side of urban ports – places usually buzzing with energy and activity, through photographic compositions that invite calm and introspection.
The exhibition’s centerpiece, You can sail without wind, I (2021), illustrates this theme. In this ethereal image, a misty harbor bridge by Sif Meincke
emerges as a silent protagonist, shrouded in a soft fog, with no trace of the movement or noise typically associated with harbors.

Meincke’s work challenges our perceptions, revealing the port as a sanctuary of silence and contemplation.
