Photography Award Cinematographic Encounters of Cerbère-Portbou: Call for entries for photography

Call for applications for photography in the 16^th edition of the Cinematographic Encounters of Cerbère-Portbou (“Rencontres de Cerbère-Portbou”) which will take place from October 1^st to 4^th, 2020.

Exhibit your photos during the Cinematographic Encounters of Cerbère-Portbou at the Hôtel du Belvédère du Rayon Vert from October 1^st to 4^th, 2020.

Organized by the association Photoeil.

Choose between two themes

“Passage”
You can interpret like you want around the theme of the passage; all forms or variety of “Passage”, rite of passage, metamorphosis, borders, transition or containment.
“Passage”, homage to Walter Benjamin, Jewish German philosopher who committed suicide in Portbou while fleeing the Nazis and the Vichy regime.
– submit a sequence with max.20 images.

or

“Fiction”

The sequence request should contain a minimum of an image from the Hôtel du Belvédère in Cerbère (66), France.
– submit a sequence with max.20 images.

Awards

The winner will be awarded:
– an exhibition of your photographs in October as part of the 16^th edition of the Cinematographic Encounters at the Hôtel du Belvédère in Cerbère, a French village close to the Spanish border; exhibition Launch Thursday, October 1^st;
– video projection of your sequence at the Hôtel du Belvédère;
– train ticket (French railway);
– four (4) nights hotel accommodation and food;
– pass for the cinema festival for 4 days.

The other winners:
– vidéo projection of your sequence at the Hôtel du Belvédère, exhibition Launch Thursday, October 1^th;
– one-night hotel accomodation, Thursday, October 1^st 2020;
– free pass for the entire film festival.

Subscription details

Registration from 15.04 to 09.08.2020. Result on 20.08.2020.
Final submission deadline: August 09, 2020 at midnight.
A non-refundable entry fee of € 15 must be included with each submission.
