Alan Klotz Gallery presents their 40th Annual Holiday Sale, with vintage and contemporary photographs discounted by up to 50%.
For 39 years this show has been a magnet for all photography lovers: from novices buying their first photograph, to some of America’s top museum curators looking for something really unusual. There are over 400 photographs for sale from such masters as Ansel Adams, Eugene Atget, Paul Caponigro, Alvin Langdon Coburn, Edward Curtis, PH Emerson, Lewis Hine, E.O. Hoppe, Edwin Hale Lincoln, Eadweard Muybridge, Eliot Porter, Herb Ritts, George Rodger, Aaron Siskind, Alfred Stieglitz, Josef Sudek, Brett Weston, to the redoubtable, versatile anonymous vernacular photograph. Prices range from $10 to $10,000 with lots in between.
Everything from the ridiculous to the sublime vies for the collector’s attention, with special groups of images purchased exclusively for this sale. The show explores the pleasures of the inexpensive when the economy is still in rehabilitation. While prices for collectible photographs are soaring, these photographs offer a wonderfully fresh vision, often outside of the usual canon, which can still be found if you spend all year looking for them as we do. In fact, some major museums have some of our “bargains” on display in their permanent collections. We seem to be some museums’ best kept secret. But what gallery wants to be a secret?
Often imitated, never duplicated. It’s all serious fun… so come play… the game’s afoot! To see just how drastic a sale this is, click HERE and view the differences in price from our regular retail price to our exclusive Holiday Sale prices.
Open Gallery Hours: Wednesdays-Saturdays 12-6pm from November 28th through December 21st.
All contemporary work will be reduced by 10% throughout the sale. View work by our Contemporary Artists HERE!
