Young photography talents are invited to question intergenerational solidarity.
Registrations are now open to participate in the 1st edition of the Photo Prize La France Mutualiste whose results will be announced on April 11, 2019. A jury of experts will reward the best 3 series of 10 photos at a prize-giving ceremony where the works will be exhibited before a tour of the regions.
An artistic work around commitment and transmission
France Mutualiste has created this Photo Award to reward young talents, 18 to 30 years old, photography students, professional photographers or amateur photographers, who are committed to promoting and questioning, through an artistic work, the transmission and commitment, as well as the values cherished by the mutual society since its creation – solidarity, sharing, generosity – in the family spirit that characterizes it.
“By revealing young talents working on its territory of choice, and by supporting photography, a popular youth media, La France Mutualiste embodies its ambition to integrate the commitment of the younger generations in the tradition of those who committed yesterday.” explains Dominique Burlett, president of La France Mutualiste. A nice nod to this year 2019 when we celebrate the 180 years of the creation of photography.
The valorization of artists by exhibitions in Paris and in the region
The Prize will reward the best 3 series of 10 photos during a ceremony of awards, in Paris, April 11, 2019 in the presence of a jury composed of professionals of photography and 300 guests (journalists, institutional, influencers, partners…). The 30 winning photos will then be exhibited in the regions from May to October 2019, with the support of the France Mutualiste network, to give them a general public visibility and to bring to life the values of transmission and intergenerational solidarity within the territories.
1st prize: 5,000 euros, a publication, an exhibition of photographs at the annual La France Mutualiste party in Paris on April 11, 2019, exhibitions in the provinces organized by La France Mutualiste.
2nd prize: 3,000 euros, a publication, an exhibition of photographs at the annual La France Mutualiste party in Paris on April 11, 2019, exhibitions in the provinces organized by La France Mutualiste
3rd prize: 1,000 euros, a publication, an exhibition of photographs during the annual La France Mutualiste evening in Paris on April 11, 2019, exhibitions in the provinces organized by La France Mutualiste
