Photography and painting have always been with me, a few years ago I decided to combine the two arts and work on a new Fine-art pictorial project (portrait and still life).
Fascinated by painters, more particularly by Flemish painters of the 17th century, such as Vermeer or Rembrandt, or of the 18th century like Renoir, I draw inspiration from them to create portraits, or still lifes full of symbols, especially biblical ones.
These photos are almost all inspired by paintings by great masters, but are rarely identical copies. I allow myself the freedom to be inspired by one or more details, an atmosphere, a posture, but above all a light, and more particularly the chiaroscuro light that I particularly like.
Photography is a painting made of lights and shapes. My lens is for me, my color palette and also my brush!
