Fading away
“Agglutinate today
The days of the past
And the others who will come, […]
[…] If in the interlocking of one day in the days
Still intent I find myself to catch myself
And I choose that moment,
It will return to my soul forever. […]
Freely taken from : Last choirs for the promised land by Giuseppe Ungaretti
The Portfolio that I present consists of 15 images entitled: Fading away … takes its cue from these verses of the Italian poet Giuseppe Ungaretti’s poem entitled:
“Last choirs for the promised land”
who wrote about the conception of time.
Small snapshots taken from a train window,
Lose yourself in memories in this blurred landscape, which passes quickly,
dissolves in your gaze, a journey;
like looking for your true self,
an ephemeral path on earth obnubilated by the daily vortex…
