In July 2011, Manik Katyal founded an internet platform mostly dedicated to Asian photography. Among the fifteen articles published monthly on Emaho—a Sanskrit exclamation of joy and wonder—are presentations of portfolios and photographers, interviews, and coverage of events. The platform is just one aspect of a larger project, which includes Kashmir, exhibited in early 2012 at Singapore and earlier this year at Chiang Mai Documentary Festival, Thailand in February, 2013. And a quarterly print magazine whose first issue should appear in early 2014.
