Dear Readers,
You have undoubtedly noticed that over the past six weeks our website and our newsletter have had a makeover. You may have also found our webpages slightly slower to load and less responsive. This is due to the size of the thousands of images currently in our database. We apologize for the inconvenience. We are working hard to resolve the problem and optimize our new website.
Some of you have also noted lack clarity with regards to subscription to our archives. Last week, we added a new explanatory page accessible from anywhere via the Archives tab. By subscribing to our archives at a monthly rate of €5 or annual rate of €50, you have some 200,000 images at your fingertips, plus 20,000 topics, documentation pertaining to the history of photography and with a focus on its evolution over the last decade thanks to a unique daily publication. It is thanks to our subscribers that we are able to offer free access to our current edition. Monday through Sunday, The Eye of Photography and its newsletters are free, and articles enter the paid archives only seven days after publication. Readers’ portfolios and holiday photos are exempt and remain free; they are archived in the corresponding category on our website.
Thank you for your support. The ranks of our followers are growing and people like you continue to join our wonderful community passionate about photography.
