A lovely idea: The works of the “Poursuites et Ricochets” collection published by éditions lamaindonne, directed by Guillaume Geneste (printer at La Chambre Noire, in Paris) and David Fourré (editor of éditions lamaindonne), combine family photographs and literary texts.
Each author is invited to select a dozen family photos and write a short text on each of these photographs.
The idea here is to question our relationship to this very particular object that is family photography. What does the encounter with this physical object cause? Seeing without always knowing… What does the family photo allow us to imagine and question? What secrets are hidden behind these images?
It is the diversity of literary approaches that will give this collection all its depth.
The collection will offer 3 to 4 new works each year.
The first authors are Marie-Hélène Lafon (latest novel: Les Sources, Buchet/Chastel editions) and Guillaume Geneste (shooter of the greatest photographers at the Chambre Noire).
