Françoise Huguier : La Malle de Foin
Some time ago, Françoise Huguier found a folder containing a bundle of letters exchanged between her mother, her father and her grandfather.
Letters written to each other by her parents, Mathieu and Antoinette, young lovers, just engaged, who dreamed of getting married.
Letters between Armand Châtellier, Antoinette’s father, representative of a noble family from Pont-Labbé, who opposed the marriage, and his daughter or his future son-in-law, who will go and try for the adventure in Cochinchina (present-day Vietnam) .
Letters which speak of the relationships between men and women, between a noble society and a more popular one, between different generations.
