Learn multiple exposure with a legendary camera. June 30, July 1 and 2, 2023.
The purpose of this workshop is to learn overprinting through the practice of this medium format film camera giving square images. The Rolleiflex is a camera whose minimalism highlights the links between art and technology. Here, the photographer is faced with the settings of the fundamental parameters (speed, aperture, distance). At a time when taking thousands of photos on your smartphone or camera has become commonplace, having only 12 6x6cm views per film may seem anachronistic. Nevertheless, in practice this limitation turns out to be a real source of creativity and learning. Choosing to understand and master the shooting parameters is as useful with a mechanical body as with any other film camera or not. Reproduce successes and understand failures through this knowledge illustrated here by the use of multiple exposure.
