The city of Deauville has not renewed the contract of Planche(s) Contact festival director Patrick Remy after five years as its head. Some thirty artists have been invited to the festival since 2010, including Rinko Kawauchi, Sarah Moon, Harry Gruyaert, Kishin Shinoyama, Gunnar Smoliansky, Terri Weifenbach, Paolo Roversi, Lise Sarfati, Kourtney Roy, Philippe Ramette, David Armstrong, Meffre & Marchand, Lars Turnbjörk and Massimo Vitali. The artists photographed the city of Deauville while students from a European photography school were invited to a residency and awarded a prize.
