We have just heard of the death of the photographer Charles Gatewood last Thursday in San Francisco, probably following a suicide attempt. He was 73 years old. He started out as a photojournalist but very quickly got involved in fetishist and sadomasochist circles. In 1975, the publication of his book Sidetripping created a real sensation!
Today, we share images published in September 2011 in part of his exhibition at the Robert Tat Gallery.
