How odd. Nestled along a little know back route to two of the most spectacular National Parks in America, and the tourist destination of Moab, Utah, lies the (almost) forgotten town of Cisco. Unless you know it’s there and unless you know that the otherwise barren view turns into an unforgettable landscape, Cisco was the victim of highway robbery, almost literally.
The lost town of Cisco is otherwise well known, having been seen in movies and magazine articles, and it fell into its gradual and current demise thanks to the completion of Interstate 70, some 45 (or more) years ago. People’s lives eventually had to change and the town was – lost.
And as part of the “Abandoned Portfolios” – “Cicso” continues, with respect, the telling of lost stories.
